ABOUT THE LEAGUE

The St. Albert Co-Ed Youth Baseball League was formed in the late 1990s to introduce young children to team play, good sportsmanship, and the great game of baseball. Skills such as throwing, catching, base-running, hitting and field position responsibilities are taught by volunteer parent coaches.

Teams will play tee ball or machine pitch.

Parks & Recreation suggests the ages for tee ball be 5-6 years of age. However, if a child will be entering kindergarten next fall he or she can sign up. Suggested ages for machine pitch is 7-8 years old. A child is not eligible if he or she is 9 years old before August 1st. However, if your child is age 9 or older before August 1st and you still want to sign him up for Co-Ed machine pitch, please do so. We will discuss this situation with the head of Parks & Recreation to see about an accommodation and let you know well in advance of league play. The above ages are suggestions and if you believe your child can play in machine pitch but is only 5 or 6 please let us know on the registration form and he or she will be placed accordingly.

Parent Help Needed

Volunteer coaches and assistants are needed for each team. Sign up for this on the registration form.
